About RUMOR

RUMOR is a local cover band on the Central Coast, delivering classic and contemporary soft rock, blues, and pop dance hits. RUMOR has performed at a wide range of venues and festivals, including the California Mid-State Fair, San Luis Obispo Beerfest, Lake Nacimiento, Black Lake, and the Monarch Dunes Summer Concert Series, to name a few. They are also favorites at the Avila Beach Resort, Cal Coast Brewing Company, BarrelHouse Brewing, and The Pour House in Paso Robles, California. This versatile group features double guitar leads, keyboards, a synthesizer saxophone, and powerful female vocalist Dani Cole, whose unique soulful vocal style brings the band into the 21st century.

Dani’s contemporary, nuanced renditions of classics such as Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” and Aretha Franklin’s “RESPECT” impart a fresh, cool vibe while paying homage to the originals. Songs run the gamut from the Eagles’ “Hotel California” and Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason” to “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley and “Feel It Still” by Portugal the Man. This band lends a unique, classic bluesy sound to rock hits and gives modern pop songs a refreshing live twist.
