Chris Beland is a Central Coast native, born and raised in Santa Maria, California. He was drawn to music from a very early age, with a special affinity to Willie Nelson. 

He is a multi-instrumentalist whose lyrics and sound are redolent of such artists as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Andrew Bird and Damien Jurado. As a solo act, he accompanies his soulful words with the seasoned strum of an acoustic guitar, wistful harmonica strains and the steady beat of his kick-drum keeping a rhythm that is both folk-rock and old-timey Americana.
