Rava on the Rocks: A Free Outdoor Concert Series featuring live music by Rolf Gehrung.

Held on the vineyard lawn adjacent the Rava Wines Tasting Room. Bring your own low-back lawn chair, blanket, friends, and family. All ages are welcome! We will have a a full food menu available. No outside food or alcohol is permitted. Reservations are not required.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Singer/Songwriter Rolf G. hammers songs with the soul of a man who knows the next number could be his. Weaving images that lend themselves to the open road and read like Kerouac’s lost poem, Rolf’s songs sit at the intersection of Americana and Country meets old school punk.

Rolf’s songs tell of love, loss, affection and stark confession. With a voice that is as a cross between Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi, Rolf always brings emotional intensity to his songs and live performances.

For those of us that like looking in the rear view mirror, Rolf has performed at venues ranging from the Whiskey a Go-Go in LA to Legends in Nashville, building a solid reputation for belting out powerful performances. His songs have also been featured on National TV programs including NASCAR, the West Wing, Dawson’s Creek, Diagnosis Murder, Brooklyn South, as well as local radio including KJUG and KRUSH.

Rolf has been selected to attend Jeffrey Steele’s songwriter bootcamp, The Voice, and has a number of awards for songs he’s written. Most recently First and Second place for songs submitted in the Smokey Mountain Song Writers Festival.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Emily Smith is a breath of fresh air and her voice is often compared to a melodic blend of Sheryl Crow & Colbie Caillat. She brightens the atmosphere with her soulful, feel good music of all genres.

Hailing from the Central Coast Wine Region in Paso Robles, California, Emily has established herself as a must‐see singer/songwriter acoustic solo act!

Since graduating from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California under the Independent Artist Program, in 2010, she has been recording, mixing and producing her own music. She has played sold out shows at the Key Club, Whisky a Go Go, the Mint & BB Kings, including the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Festival for over three thousand people.

Over the past several years she has been performing at local establishments. She has currently debuted her new album which features songs she has written for Film & Television, including multiple placements on the acclaimed soap opera The Young & The Restless and the Netflix series Sweet Magnolias. Her music gives off a positive vibe that is sure to make young and old alike smile.

About the Artist:

Often compared to Jack Johnson, G. Love, and Nick Drake, Graybill is the stage moniker of vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist Kevin Graybill. Though comparable to others, he’s developed his own unique sound and genre sometimes referred to as Coastal-Folk, or Ganja-Blues.

Although his passion for music and performing started in his late teens, he spent much of his 20s living in Seattle and exploring ways one might blur the lines between vocation and play. It wasn’t until his late 20s that his passion for music was rekindled along this path in the most unlikely of places.

Moving to the central coast of California, he found the perfect place to allow his creativity to peak. Turning into a working musician, he started playing for tips at seafood shacks on the water, eventually building up to playing every stage in the area, over 150 shows a year.

2020 was set to be Graybill’s biggest year yet with a tour through the West coast and Montana booked. That’s when COVID hit. Instead of wallowing in disappointment, he redirected the ambition for touring into recording his debut album, High Tide/Low Tide. Recorded as two six-track EPs, together they strike a balance between High Tide’s sunny optimism and full-band arrangements and Low Tide’s more stripped down rainy introspection.

High Tide/Low Tide was self-released on April 16th, 2021, and went on to win Album of the Year on The Central Coast of California for the 2021 New Times Music Awards.

Graybill’s momentum continues into 2022 as he follows up a remix collaboration with electronic artist 9 Theory, with progress on his sophomore debut “The Path Less Traveled,” which includes the single “It’s Alright” featuring G. Love, which was released on Friday, March 18, 2022.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Critically acclaimed and award-winning Singer-Songwriter Dave Tate’s soulful music combines dynamic vocals with intimate acoustic guitar to present a unique and introspective indie-folk sound. From Sometimes high and soaring, sometimes hushed and inviting, Tate’s heartfelt voice weaves his poetic lyrics through soundscapes of finger-style acoustic guitar and percussive rhythms. Tate has been hailed as “One of the most unique artists ever.” by Heaven Magazine and “An artist who is so incredibly good that you can’t really believe not all music magazines are writing about him already.” by Folk Form in the Netherlands. Newly relocated to the Central Coast of California, Tate is a native of the red rock desert of Zion National Park.
